Ann Moore Currin

Ann Moore Currin, 72, of Augusta, formerly of Whigham, GA, passed away Monday, January 24, 2022.

The graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Piedmont Cemetery in Calvary, GA with Pastor Johnny Moore and Pastor Scott Moore officiating. Kyle Currin, Jr., Jay Currin, Kyle Currin, Chase Currin, Scott Moore, Larry Moore, Wayne Moore, and Mike Morgan will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Bryant Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.bryantfuneralga.com. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Ann Moore Currin was born September 28, 1949, in Ochlocknee, GA, the daughter of Norman & Lillie Mae Poppell Moore. After high school, Ann attended college. She worked for Grady County Board of Education as a lunchroom manager at Washington Middle School. She was a member of Moore's Chapel.

Ann was quite a woman. As a single mother, she instilled in her four children a strong work ethic. Most of her life, she worked at least two jobs. Ann gave her best effort at everything she did from fishing to spoiling the grandchildren that were dear to her heart. She was an amazing cook always offering a hot meal and a seat at her table.

Survivors include her children, Deandre (John) Balkcum of Augusta, GA, Jay (Angela) Currin of LaGrange, NC, Ben Currin, Kyle Currin both of Whigham, GA; her grandchildren, Lance & Robin, Gage, Chase & Bre, Destiny & Logan, Kristin, Noah, Seth, Caleb, Kelly Ann, Kyle Jr., and Norman; her great-grandchildren, Nora Jane, Nicholas, Grayson, Willow, M.J., and Damien; and a host of extended family. In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her siblings, Nora Hurst, Norman Moore, Martha Moore, Mainor Moore, and David Moore.
