Betty Jean Steedley was born June 21, 1933, in Homerville, GA, the daughter of Fred & Annie Morgan Steedley. She was a graduate of Clinch County High School and earned credit towards a degree in education. Betty spent her best years in a Clinch County elementary school classroom. She was Methodist by faith.
A woman of strong faith, Betty determined early on to live her life in such a way as would be pleasing to the Lord. She served her family with her whole heart, caring for them and loving them through all of life’s trials and triumphs. Her nature was to nurture and she, no doubt, heard these words when she entered into the presence of the Lord: Well done, thy good and faithful servant.
Survivors include a host of extended family. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her siblings, Fred Steedley and Bobbie Steedley Wooten.
Betty’s family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to Gentiva Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
