Cecil Clarence Edwards

Funeral services for Cecil Clarence Edwards, 88, of Camilla will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 11:00AM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Poppell will officiate and interment will be in Fathers Home Church Cemetery.

Born May 14, 1934 in Camilla he was the son of the late John Rufus and Wilene Palmer Edwards. Mr. Edwards passed away Sunday, August 28, 2022 at his residence. He was a retired Supervisor over Mechanics at the Marine Corp. Logistics Base in Albany and a member of Fathers Home Church. He was married for 60 years to Christine Edwards of Camilla who survives. Other survivors include his son, Johnny Edwards (Sheila) of Climax; daughter Wanda Thomas (Jack) of Camilla; grandson Chase Edwards (Erin) of Daphne, AL; granddaughter, Christine Allen (Michael) of Littleton, CO and grandson, Casey Thomas (Whitney) of Camilla; and eight Great Grandchildren; two sisters, Janice Bishop of Cairo; Frances Hooks (Marty) of Baconton and brother, Mervin Edwards (Sue) of Cairo. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Buck Edwards, C.L. Edwards, Lamar Edwards, Gene Edwards, J.W. Edwards and Bobby Edwards.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday an hour prior to the service.
