Corey Evans Wells, 32, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2022.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Humphries officiating.

Corey Evans Wells was born June 20, 1990, in Donalsonville, GA, the son of Donald Evans Wells and Jackie Hyatt Wells. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School and South GA Technical School in Americus. Corey was a carpenter by trade and a Christian by faith.

The outdoors is where Corey experienced peacefulness. He would spend hours walking in the woods taking in the sights and sounds of nature. He was a gentle soul and enjoyed simple things like fishing with his grandfather and caring for his cat and dog. Corey knew unconditional love and cherished the memories he made with family.

Survivors include his mother, Jackie Hyatt Wells; his siblings, Donnie & Penny Wells of Leesburg, GA, Dexter Wells of Atlanta, GA, Tiffany & Sam Revells of Donalsonville, GA, and Rebecca Deese of Tennessee; his maternal grandparents, Ernest & Donitta Hyatt; and his aunts & uncles, Roy & Trudy Hyatt, Randy & Terry Hyatt, Sandra Heath, Sheila & Johnny Edwards, and Chuck & Natasha Wells. Corey was preceded in death by his father, Donald Evans Wells; his brother, Christopher Deese; and his grandparents, Jimmy Wells, Mattie Sellers Wells, Jeanette M. Wells, and Louise Gordon.
