Cory was a devoted father and care giver whose children were the center of his world. He loved his son, Sam, and daughter, Cassie, more than anything and took great pride in being their dad. His love for them was unwavering, and they are his greatest accomplishment and joy.

Cory was the kind of person who could do anything he set his mind to and would master something before moving on to the next. He learned how to play classical guitar, forge knives, make jewelry, fix vehicles, build computers, and would sing along with any song. Whether helping family, friends, or strangers, Cory was always willing to lend a hand. He had a generous heart and would give the shirt off his back and the shoes off his feet to someone in need, regardless of what he had himself.

Cory will be remembered for his strength, kindness, loyalty, and the love he shared with those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Elizabeth Kelley; his beloved children, Sam and Cassie; his mother, Renee Langley; his father, Chris Kelley (Niki); his brother, Kyle Kelley; and his sisters, Amanda Kelley Scott (Steve) and Gabby Hardee; his grandparents, Carol & Dan Nelson, Donald & Sue Kelley, Gayle Yester & David Boley, and Trish Yawn; his aunts, Paula Maxwell (Donnie), Sheila Belcher (Rick), Brittany Marshall (Theo), and Angie Baxley (Jason); his nephew, Liam Kelley; his niece, June Kelley; his cousins, Dylan, Kendall, Dustin, Laura Beth, Christopher, Chloe, Jasanna, and Chason; his close friend, Ryan Skipper; and a host of extended family. Cory was preceded in death by his PawPaw, Bill Lambert, and his grandfather, Wilton Yawn.

Though his time here was far too short, Cory’s impact on the lives of those he loved will never be forgotten.
