Donna Marie Bush was born July 5, 1957, in Waycross, GA, the daughter of Alie & Marah Brooks Bush. She was a graduate of Seminole County High School and a member of New Hope Church.
Donna was a woman who liked things done her way, and if you knew her, you knew that was the best way. With a sharp wit and a big heart, she kept her home and family running strong, always making sure everyone (including the dogs) was cared for. She could cook anything put in front of her, but her true specialty was southern comfort food, the kind that filled your belly and your soul. Her kitchen was the heart of the home, where laughter and stories were shared over biscuits, fried chicken, or whatever masterpiece she had whipped up that day. She was sassy, strong, and steadfast, with a love for family that was fierce and unwavering. Donna was very protective of her family and made no bones about it.
Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Frankie Taylor; her children, Hannah Smith (William III) and Phillip Swanner, Jr.; her grandchildren, Phillip III, John, Josha, Jett, Ryder, and Alexander; and her canine companions, Zeke & Gino. In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Allen Swanner; her siblings, Debra Ross and Eddie Gay; her dogs, Gizmo (the favorite), Charlie Bug, JoJo, Little Jo, and Kitt; and several nieces & nephews.
