Dorothy Faye Duncan

Mrs. Dorothy "Faye" Duncan, age 86, of Whigham Georgia, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Fairburn Health Center. She was born on October 1, 1934, in Cario, Georgia to the late Dorothy Banks and Ernest Banks. In addition to her parents, Faye is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Duncan and her grandson, Michael Jacks.

Faye grew up in Cairo, Georgia. She married Johnny Duncan, and they spent the next 25 years traveling the world from the Philippines to Alaska due to Johnny's service in the Air Force. After her husband's military service, they moved back home to Whigham, Georgia. Faye then held positions in the school system until her retirement. She was a long time member of Whigham Baptist Church.

The funeral service celebrating the life Faye lived is Friday, September 16, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Whigham Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time at the church. Burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Survivors include daughter, Cindie Jacks and husband Jerry of Grantville, GA; son, Ernie "Jake" Duncan and wife Lori of Charleston, SC; granddaughter Jade Duncan of Charleston, SC, granddaughter, Rebeccah Jacks of Grantville, GA and great granddaughter, Cheyanne Jacks of Fort Stewart, GA.
