Elaine Bush Brown

Elaine Bush Brown, 83, of Bainbridge, formerly of Pelham, AL, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2026.

Elaine was a devoted family member, a loyal friend, and a woman of strong will. She worked for more than 30 years as an assistant vice president at Regions Bank, building a long career through years of dedication and hard work. She was a Methodist by faith and lived her life as an example to others. Elaine was genuine in her friendships, and those who knew her knew where they stood with her.

Her family meant the world to her, especially her grandchildren. She treated her nieces and nephews like her own grandchildren, making sure they knew they were loved. She treasured her close friendship with Kathy, affectionately known as her “seester,” a bond that meant a great deal to her.

Elaine had a special love for animals, particularly cats. She never needed much convincing to make room for one in her life.

Survivors include her children, Brian Veal and Kevin Veal (Lee); her grandchildren, Hunter & Ashlynn, Presleigh, Walker, Westin, Libbie, and Ophelia; her brother & “seester”, Steve & Kathy Bush; and her granddog, Scarlett. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Jennings & Isabelle Prince Bush, and her nieces, Heather & Emma Barlow.
