George "Little George" Bush, Jr., 76, of Newton, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025.

George Leonard Bush, Jr. was born September 5, 1948, in Albany, GA, the son of George Sr. & Faye Hansley Bush. He was a graduate of Newton High School and a lifelong resident of Baker County.

A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, "Little George" lived life on his own terms. He was a man who valued his independence and found peace in the quiet moments of nature. Hunting, fishing, or simply spending time outdoors, George appreciated the simple beauty of the world around him. George was unique, content in his solitude, steady in his ways, and true to himself.

Survivors include his children, Tabitha & Jamie Johnson and Trey Bush; his grandchildren, Zach Bush, Dylan Johnson, Dru Johnson, and Khloe Johnson; and his stepsister, Julie Ledman. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his sister, Mimie Jewel.
