Jackie Heidt, 75, of Bainbridge, formerly of Crystal River, FL, passed away Monday, October 10, 2022.

The graveside funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, October 17, 2022, at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL with Pastor Mike Sellers officiating.

Jackqulin Verby C Ledford was born August 29, 1947, in Poulan, GA, the daughter of Dewey & Anna Marie Taylor Ledford. She married the love of her life, Melvin Heidt, and they made their home in Central Florida. Jackie was Christian by faith.

Jackie was driven by a need to connect. Her passion for genealogy helped link the relationships that meant so much to her. New friends and old could count on birthday and anniversary cards to be delivered straight from her heart. Jackie was an avid reader enjoying the solitude of exploring new places and ideas through words that created images in her mind.

Survivors include her children, Melvin Heidt of New Hampshire, Charles & Samantha Heidt, and Kenny & Dolly Heidt, all of Faceville; her grandchildren, Talor, Charles Jr., Amanda, Sabrina, and Teresa; her great-grandchildren, Raelynn, Malachi, Diviah, Elijah, and Haley; her mother, Anna Marie Taylor-Bunch of Moultrie, GA; and her siblings, Tony Human (Reneè), Joe Human (Lou), and Glenda Durst (Calvin). Jackie was preceded in death by her father, Dewey Ledford, and her husband, Melvin Heidt.
