Jan Carole Lewis

Jan Johnson Lewis, 62, of Tallahassee, FL, formerly of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021.

The family will hold a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021 at First United Methodist Church in Bainbridge with Rev. Lee Harper officiating. Interment will be at Oak City Cemetery.

Janet Carole Johnson was born November 16, 1958 in Bainbridge, GA, the daughter of Clyde & Beulah Mae Baker Johnson. Jan was a licensed esthetician and co-owner of the first skincare and day spa in Tallahassee, Panache. She retired from Elon Properties and was Methodist by faith.

Jan lived life to the fullest. She had an unforgettable laugh and found herself gravitating towards "happy people". She was an outside person who enjoyed everything from golf to boating, skiing, and even a little fishing. Music made her want to cut a rug and that she did at every opportunity. Jan was a fantastic cook and created each meal with love for those she was serving. Her travels took her to all sorts of fun places, but her favorite was always the beach. Jan's family always came first in her heart and her grandchildren were her pride & joy.

Survivors include her son, Jonathan Hall of Bainbridge; her grandchildren, Layton & Jon Michael; her siblings, Delores & Earl Grantham of Tampa, FL, Clyde & Metta Johnson of Dunwoody, GA, Peggy & Ern Kirkpatrick of Conyers, GA, Ronnie Johnson of Tallahassee, FL, Sherry & Bruce Wilkes of Mooresville, NC, and Jackie & Bruce Edwards of Tallahassee, FL; and a host of extended family. Jan was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Tina Carley and Michael Lavon.
