John Mclendon

John McLendon, 37, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022.

John Joseph McLendon was born April 17, 1984, in Bainbridge, GA, the son of Michael & Michelle Williams McLendon. After high school, John earned credits towards an associate degree and worked as a truck driver for Matador Building Supply.

As an avid outdoorsman, you could find John somewhere near water. Spring Creek was his favorite spot for fishing, camping, and kayaking. He loved video games, bargain shopping, and spending time with his family. John had a big heart streaked with a tad bit of stubbornness. He gave his best effort to love others and help out when he saw a need.

Survivors include his wife, Becky Harrison McLendon; his children, Lilith Bellamy McLendon and Hennon Garrett Harrison; his father & stepmother, Michael & Wanda McLendon; his siblings, Ashley Lafferty of Bainbridge, Michael (Ivey) McLendon, Jr. of Jakin, James McLendon also of Jakin, Sarah (Michael) Meredith of Colquitt, and Chris Cook of Jakin; and a host of extended family. John was preceded in death by his mother, Michelle Barineau, and his grandparents, Janie & Roy Williams.
