Justine Steward Dutrieux

Justine Steward Dutrieux, 88, of Bainbridge, formerly of Grass Valley, CA, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023.

Justine Marie Steward was born May 7, 1934, in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Justin & Adelaid Hess Steward. A California girl at heart, Justine lived most of her life on the West Coast. After high school, she busied herself working as a secretary until her retirement. At that point, she devoted more time to the things most important: family, friends, fishing, and BINGO. She married Percy "Nobby" Dutrieux in 2003, and they continued to enjoy the beauty of the nearby Sierra Nevada. Justine recently moved to Bainbridge to be closer to her daughter, Michelle. She was a Christian by faith.

Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Percy "Nobby" Dutrieux; her daughters, Michelle Matteoni of Bainbridge and Julie Ann Matteoni Herring (Gene) of Roseville, CA; her grandchildren, Katie, Elizabeth, James, Nicole, and Melissa; her great-grandchildren, Lily, Asher, James, Victoria, and Alyssa; her siblings, Sallie Tatosian of New Castle, CA and Alan Steward of Bend, OR; and her numerous nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, Justine was preceded in death by her daughter, Reneé Marie Matteoni, and her sister-in-law, Marcia Steward.
