Jordan Lee Green was born July 31, 1960, in Bainbridge, GA, the son of Jimmy & Rosanne Holt Green. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1978, and Thomas Tech. Lee operated Green's Heating & Cooling for many years and retired from Decatur County Schools and Bainbridge Housing Authority. He also taught classes at Bainbridge College. Lee was a member of Attapulgus Baptist Church.

Lee was known to "talk the horns off a billy goat". He loved people and getting to know their stories. He felt called to help others and never minded lending a hand, a tool, a skill, or just a word of encouragement. Lee volunteered over the years with Little League baseball teams and served as a Boy Scout leader and Scout Master, leading a group of young scouts on portions of the Appalachian Trail during his scouting years. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, camping, and hiking. As the self-proclaimed "camp cook", Lee could draw a crowd with his delicious peach cobbler.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Cheryl Ann Ford; his sons, Justin Lee Green of Tucson, AZ and Nicholas James Green (Elizabeth) of Buford, GA; his mother, Rosanne H. Green; his brother, Jeffery Curtis Green (Marsha); his faithful canine companion, Piper; and a host of extended family. Lee was preceded in death by his father, James L. "Jimmy" Green, Jr.
