Levy L. Harrell, Jr., 80, of Vada, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 23, 2023, at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Conrad Salter officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.

Levy L. Harrell, Jr. was born September 26, 1942, in Bainbridge, GA, the son of Levy Sr. and Christine Sellers Harrell. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School and went on to serve in the GA National Guard. Levy retired as a product engineer for Harrell Equipment. He was Baptist by faith.

Levy Jr. lived life on his terms. If he thought it, he said it. If he dreamed it, he built it. If it seemed like a good idea at the time, he tried it. He forgot more about ag equipment than most people will ever know. Levy's mind was constantly in motion designing new products and figuring ways to enhance others. Plows, boll buggies, drying trailers, and every other piece of equipment found on a farm has been taken apart, put together, repaired, or repurposed with expert precision. Levy Jr. never met a stranger and had connections worldwide.

Survivors include his children, Angie H. Putman (Allen) of Statham, GA, Joy H. Key (Steve) of Bainbridge, GA, Troy Harrell (Dorkis) of Cairo, GA, Bonnie Harrell, and Evy Harrell of North Carolina; his nine grandchildren; his brothers, Bobby Jack Harrell (Brenda) of Bainbridge and Hugh Harrell (Dawn) of Leesburg; and a host of extended family. In addition to his parents, Levy was preceded in death by his brothers, Gary Harrell and Ronnie Harrell.
