Marjorie Ann Pollock was born January 19, 1939, in Bainbridge, GA, the daughter of G.H. & Ida Singleton Pollock. She was a graduate of Albany High School and earned a bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of Massachusetts. Marge retired as an industrial engineer from Lockheed Martin with 25 years of service and eventually made her way back to South Georgia. She attended Morningside Baptist Church in Bainbridge and First Baptist Church in Camilla.

Marge did not let grass grow under her feet. She was always busy and on the move. In fact, many probably encountered Marge on her scooter and thought it was a streak of lightning coming down the road. She was bold and fearless, a strong Christian, and a lifelong student. Researching genealogy, traveling, and reading to children's groups at the local library kept her in tune. Serving as a puppeteer for her neighbors at Savannah Court gave her a platform for sharing information, encouragement, and joy.

Marge, a formidable and resilient woman, exuded love and kindness despite the hardships she faced. She cherished her family and meticulously planned annual family reunions for many years. These reunions revolved around a talent show, where each family member showcased their skills, bringing joy and laughter to everyone present. Additionally, she hosted a "Grandma's Week" each summer at her home in Merritt Island, where her four oldest granddaughters would spend a week immersed in crafts, swimming in her backyard pool, and attending Vacation Bible School (where she volunteered). Marge's unwavering commitment to helping others extended beyond these activities. She actively participated in church and VBS, hosted puppet shows at her retirement community and found solace in writing stories about people's pasts and genealogy. Marge's impact on countless lives will forever be etched in our memories, and her story and life will continue to inspire generations to come.

Survivors include her children, Bonnie Anne Stoll (James) of Florida, Michael Alan Stanka (Kimberly) of California, and Paul Gordon Taggart (Sonia) of Nevada; her grandchildren, Amanda & Sean, Sarah & John, Kelley & Curtis, Danielle & Hayden, Sophia, and Lukas; her great-grandchildren, Lily, Emily, Levi, Chloe, and Lincoln; and her sister, Glenda Wolfe (Charles) of Donalsonville. In addition to her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by her son, William Keith Stanka, and her siblings, Patricia Dawes and Grady Pollock.
