Mary Alice Josey Inlow

Mary Alice Josey Inlow, Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Friend.

Mary Alice Josey Inlow passed peacefully surrounded by family, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering faith. Her life was a testament to kindness, generosity, and devotion to her family, her community, and her Lord.

Her love for her husband was deep and enduring. Life brought many trials their way, but each one only strengthened the bond they shared. Their devotion was quiet, steady, and inspiring.

Mary Alice had a heart for helping others and a gift for making everyone feel seen and cherished. Her compassion knew no bounds. Whether comforting families at Memorial Manor, where she worked for many years, or preparing a warm meal for a stranger in need, she was always ready. Her husband, working the night shift on the railroad, would sometimes call to say he was bringing home someone hungry. No matter the hour, she welcomed them with open arms and a full plate.

She adored her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren felt her love every day. She never missed a birthday, sending cards faithfully until her later years and calling when she could no longer write. Her nieces and nephews, in-laws, and extended family were equally cherished, always embraced by her warmth and generosity.

The bond she shared with her sisters and brothers was something truly special. They were not only family but lifelong friends. Whether traveling together across the country or simply spending time in each other's company, their connection was filled with laughter, loyalty, and love. She treasured every moment with them, and they always knew how deeply she cared.

She loved to travel. From family cruises to road trips with her siblings and the brave brother-in-law who drove them all over the United States, she embraced every journey with joy and a sense of adventure.

Her work at Memorial Manor was more than a job. It was a calling. She guided families through difficult transitions with empathy and grace, often attending funerals for residents who had no family, ensuring they were honored and remembered.

Her faith was the foundation of her life. Her love for the Lord radiated through every conversation and every act of kindness. She was devoted to her church and church family, reading and studying her Bible nightly. Her spiritual strength was a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew her.

Mary Alice was a legacy in every sense of the word. She lived a life full of love, humility, and grace. Her presence left no room for ill will. To know her was to feel loved, and to be loved by her was a blessing beyond measure.

She is survived by her children, Derwood & Edna Inlow, Marsha & Larry Wells, and Mitch Inlow; her grandchildren, Jessica, Loree, Maleigh, Jared, Garrett, Pagett, James, Allyson, Eric, & Tyler; her brother, Rusty Josey and his wife, Gwen; numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Derwood Leroy Inlow; her children, Butch Inlow and Leesa Marie Inlow; and her siblings, Willard Josey, Myrtle Fowler, Margaret Howard, and Myola Powell. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and compassion that will continue to guide and inspire generations to come.
