Mary McNutt Weaver, 93, of Brinson, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2026.
A devoted military wife, mother, and community servant, Mary embraced every chapter of life with grace and purpose. During her husband's military career, she made homes at duty stations across the country, creating a strong foundation for her family wherever they were stationed. A registered nurse by profession, she was dedicated to caring for others and carried that spirit of service throughout her life. Mary especially cherished her time caring for patients at Bainbridge State Hospital, where her compassion, patience, and kindness touched many lives.
Her involvement in the community reflected her generous heart and wide-ranging interests. Over the years, she served as an assistant Brownie leader with the Girl Scouts, volunteered with the American Red Cross at Eglin Air Force Base and Edwards Air Force Base, and served on a Georgia state government committee focused on human rights. An entrepreneur as well, Mary operated a small greeting card business and, alongside her beloved husband, Ralph, owned Spring Creek Pottery, where they shared their creativity and craftsmanship with others.
Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Weaver Foulk and her husband, Dennis, and her grandson, Harrison Ross Martin. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Rollin & Enid Elmer McNutt; her husband of 63 years, Ralph Waldo Weaver, Jr.; her daughter, Nancy Jean Weaver Martin; and her siblings, Rollin Harris McNutt, Jr. and Sara Graham Stephens.
