Matt Morrison

Matt Morrison, 67, of Lake Seminole, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2026.

The memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Bryant Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.bryantfuneralga.com. Matthew Wayne Morrison was born September 25, 1958, in Augusta, GA, the son of Gayle Morrison and Delores Friend Morrison. After moving from Augusta more than 30 years ago, Matt made Southwest Georgia his home. He spent his working years in construction and paving, serving as a supervisor with CMI. He was a Christian by faith.

Away from work, Matt enjoyed bass fishing, scuba diving, riding his Harley, and keeping up with NASCAR. Tony Stewart was his favorite driver and meeting him at Bristol was a special memory. Family was at the heart of Matt’s life. He was a proud father and grandfather who treasured his children and grandchildren and the time they shared together.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Sharon Bell Morrison; his children, Kerry & Wendell Waddell; his grandchildren, George & Savannah; and a host of extended family. Matt was preceded in death by his parents, Gayle Morrison & Delores Friend Jones, and his brother, Mike Morrison.
