Nettie Viola Foreman was born July 12, 1940, in Webster County, GA, the daughter of Jake & Ruby Rose Foreman. She married Gerald E. Richardson in 1957, and they made their home in Southwest Georgia. After years in Valdosta, Nettie moved to beautiful Lake Seminole in 1997. She was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church.
Nettie was the kind of woman who made people feel at home the moment they walked through the door, usually with something cooking on the stove or fresh from the oven. Her children would always say, “No one cooks like Mama,” and anyone lucky enough to sit at her table knew exactly what they meant.
She loved the Lord with all her heart, and her faith never wavered. Through every joy and every hardship, she trusted God completely and lived her life with quiet strength, kindness, and grace. Some of Nettie’s happiest days were spent fishing on Lake Seminole and Lake Okeechobee and camping with family. She collected angel figurines and knew how to research, play games, and communicate via her iPad. Nettie appreciated simple moments, loved deeply, and found joy in being surrounded by the people she loved most.
Survivors include her daughter, Pam R. Loman and her husband, John; her grandchildren, Christopher & Melissa, Lindsey & Andrew, Ryan, and Jared & Kelsey; her great-grandchildren, Layndon & Lorelai; and her brother, Jimmy Foreman (Linda). In addition to her parents, Nettie was preceded in death by her husband of almost 66 years, Gerald Eugene Richardson; her daughter, Debroah R. Niblett; and her brother, John Foreman.
