Paula R. Benson

Paula R. Benson, 79, of Bainbridge, formerly of Daytona Beach, FL, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025.

Paula Reynolds Silver was born January 31, 1946, in Providence, RI, the daughter of George & Helen Reynolds Silver. She was a high school graduate and spent many years as an emergency road service field agent with AAA. Paula attended Anchor Christian Fellowship.

"Paula's way or the highway" was pretty much the rule of the land. She kept to herself and enjoyed retirement on her terms. Art was a strong thread in her life's tapestry; she enjoyed cross stitch, crochet, sewing projects, ceramics, and painting. Cooking was also a favorite pastime. Chigger, Paula's faithful fur baby, listened to all the stories of days gone by and kept her secrets in confidence. Her favorite locals will remember Paula riding by and honking, a gesture of affection to let you know she was checking in.

Survivors include her brother, George F. Silver of Hiawassee; her nieces, Victoria Johnston and Jennifer Grant; and several close friends in Bainbridge. In addition to her parents, Paula was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Silver, and her sister-in-law, Dorothy Silver.
