Peggy Pyles Dobbs

Peggy Pyles Dobbs, age 88, passed away on December 27, 2024, in Bainbridge, Georgia.

Peggy was born February 13, 1936, in Grovania, Georgia to Charles Pyles and Estelle Ray Pyles.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Pyles; sister, Virginia Pyles Kneece; sister, Sara Pyles Paul; and brother, Charles "Pete" Pyles. Peggy graduated from nursing school in Augusta, Georgia and married Dr. Olin C. Dobbs in 1957.

Peggy raised five children while her husband served in the Army for twenty years. After her children were grown, Peggy returned to nursing for many years.  She touched many lives in her 20+ years of nursing. Known for her hugs, she brought love and joy to everyone she met.

Survivors include her children, David Carl Dobbs (Carla) of Bainbridge, GA; Charles Wade Dobbs (Denise) of Billings, MO; John Scott Dobbs of Perry, GA; Robert Steven Dobbs of Los Angeles, CA; and Nina Suzann Dobbs (Jill) of McDonough, GA; her grandchildren: Marcia, Nikolai, Nina C., Cal; her five great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family.
