Richard Dale "Ricky" Adams, Sr.

Richard Dale "Ricky" Adams, Sr., 68, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Messer officiating. Interment will follow at Oak City Cemetery with Nelson Hernandez, Louis Hernandez, Carlos Caballero, Bryant Hand, Tony Jackson, and Taylor Crosby serving as active pallbearers.

Richard Dale Adams was born April 14, 1954, in Jacksonville, FL, the son of Paul & Jackie Collier Adams. He married Isabel Lopez in 1996 and they made their home in Southwest Georgia. Ricky, also known as Ace, worked as a maintenance technician at John B. Sanfilippo & Son. He was a member of Donalsonville First Church of the Nazarene.

Ricky enjoyed a gathering especially if it included family, friends, and food. Cooking and eating were high priorities, and his favorite dishes were often prepared by Isabel. Racing (NASCAR), fishing, and golf took up his spare time. Ricky was known for problem solving and could fix most anything with a little time and a few tools.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Isabel Lopez Adams; his children, Richard Dale Adams, Jr. (Kelly) of Donalsonville, Nelson Hernandez (Martha), Regina Hernandez (Carlos) Claudia Hernandez, and Luis Hernandez, all of Bainbridge; his siblings, Paul Adams, Jr. (Barbara) of Bainbridge, Rusty Adams (Kitty), Babs Karacic all of Donalsonville, Mike Adams (Sophie) of Monroeville, AL, and Jackie McLendon (Danny) of Iron City, GA; his grandchildren, Cidney & Juan, Barry & Faith, Amy, Joanna, Ana, Bryant, Joann, Zoe, and Aurora; his great-grandson, Jeremiah; and a large extended family. In addition to his parents, Ricky was preceded in death by his siblings, Paula Poole, John Adams, Sr., Eddie Adams, Terry Adams, and Julie Adams.
