Roger W. Loyless

Roger W. Loyless, 71, of Brinson, GA, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2026.

He was born December 21, 1954, in Charleston, SC, the son of Garland & Patricia Baggerly Loyless. Roger was a machinist with LMC for many years and took pride in doing things right. Outside of work, he enjoyed scuba diving, especially cave diving and spending time in the waters of Spring Creek. He loved to fish and knew just where to catch a mess.

Roger had a way of talking to anyone and never met a stranger, yet he was just as comfortable keeping to himself. He appreciated quiet moments as much as good conversation. He lived life on his own terms and found happiness in the simple things.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Betty Hatton Loyless; his daughter, Frances Cottrell and her husband, Ken; his grandchildren, Kenny, Cathy, and Charlie; and his siblings, Wyndal Loyless, Hilton Loyless (Dena), and Regina Norwood (Jerry). Roger was preceded in death by his parents.
