Roger Sears Totten was born November 29, 1938, in Massachusetts, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Elliott Totten. After high school, Roger earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy aboard the USS Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Roger retired from Diebold Safe & Lock Company and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.

Roger was quite a character. He enjoyed pitching horseshoes, a friendly game of cards, playing the fiddle and really anything else to do with music. He had a little stubborn streak but never let it interfere with what was important. Family was his anchor and he treasured time spent together. Though he was proud of his service in the Navy, his claim to fame was being a real-life safe cracker.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Kathryn Brown Totten; his children, Leslie Totten of South Carolina, David & Deborah Shepard of Tallahassee, and Deborah & Samuel Rhames of Quincy; his brother, David Totten of Sun City Center, FL; his grandchildren, Kathy West, William Glynn Rhames, and Sarah Shepard; and a host of extended family. Roger was preceded in death by his parents.
