Scotty E. Burkett

Scotty E. Burkett, 54, of Bainbridge, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Stacy Glover officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with the men of Liberty Baptist Church serving as active pallbearers. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Scotty Everett Burkett was born November 4, 1971, in West Palm Beach, FL, the son of Grady Burkett & Jacquelyn Simmons Burkett. After high school, Scotty enrolled in a truck driving program. He loved the open road and clocked many miles throughout his career. His dry sense of humor caught some off guard but always led to a chuckle. Scotty was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son, Matt Burkett; his parents, Grady & Kay Burkett; his siblings, Candy McKenzy (Ronnie) and Frank Lynn (Anitra); and his nieces & nephews, Allie, Haley, Corey, and Lee. Scotty was preceded in death by his mother, Jacquelyn Simmons DeLoach, and his sister, Julie Lynn Hansons.
