Susan Morris Boyd

Susan Morris Boyd, 55, of Bainbridge, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 4, 2025, at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Weaver officiating. Interment will follow at Oak City Cemetery with Chip Davis, Larry Godwin, Larry Lamar Boyd, Garrett Weaver, Alan Weaver, Ricky Harrison, Curtis Weaver, and Willie Miller serving as active pallbearers.

Susan Marie Morris was born September 15, 1969, in Bainbridge, GA, the daughter of Edward "Bub" & Colleen Bazzell Morris. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1987, and earned college credits while attending Bainbridge College. After high school, Susan worked at Sears. She married the love of her life, Rob Boyd, in 1990. Susan & Rob lived at several duty stations during Rob's Navy years finally coming home to Bainbridge. She was Baptist by faith.

Susan had a gentle spirit. Her quiet demeanor provided many opportunities to reflect on the people and happenings around her. She enjoyed music, especially attending concerts, and movies. Susan was an Elvis fanatic and the go-to resource for anything Elvis. Her travel bag was always packed and ready. She was up for most any destination, but her favorites were Mexico Beach and Biloxi.

Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Robert "Rob" Boyd; her sister, Nancy Morris Shattles and her husband, Jeff, of Donalsonville; and a large extended family. Susan was preceded in death by her parents.
