Susan Weste Brown

Susan Weste Brown, 64, of Attapulgus, passed away Monday, April 29, 2024.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Attapulgus Baptist Church with Rev. Harold Burrell officiating. Interment will follow at Cool Springs Cemetery with the men of the church, Bruce Bennett, Jeff Kelly, and Andrew Herren serving as active pallbearers.

Susan Diane Weste was born January 14, 1960, in Bainbridge, GA, the daughter of Hezekiah "Willie" and Carolyn Kennedy Weste. She attended Bainbridge High School. In 1991, Susan married William H. "Billy" Brown, Jr., and they made their home in Attapulgus. She was a member of Attapulgus Baptist Church.

A loving mother and grandmother, Susan made it her business to care for her children. She enjoyed cooking and often fixed their favorites for special occasions. Watching television passed the time especially if she was drinking coffee. Susan loved her church and church family and spent many hours working on outreach projects. If it happened in Attapulgus, Susan knew about it and was probably involved in it.

Survivors include her husband of 33 years, William H. "Billy" Brown; her children, Edith "Nickie" Anderson and Brian Keith Anderson, Jr. of Bainbridge; her grandchildren, Miciah, Macayle, Carmichael, Hayden, Skylar, Bryson, and Caden; her great-grandchild, Seoni; her siblings, Joe Weste and Sarah Weste Herren (Mark) all of Valdosta, and Danny Weste (Debbie) of San Antonio, TX; and a large extended family. Susan was preceded in death by her parents.
