Thomas Lee Culverson was born July 8, 1966, in Bainbridge, GA, the son of Leon & Phyllis Helms Culverson. Lee was a simple man and a homebody who never required much to be happy. He enjoyed being outdoors, working in his yard, and caring for animals. The beach was his favorite place, and he spent many hours collecting shells and driftwood to create crafts inspired by the coast.
Over the years, Lee worked at Tedder Office Supply, Brownlee Glass Company, Piggly Wiggly, and Harvey’s. The best job ever was being Pop Pop; Lee loved Cole, Adelee & Ivy with his whole heart and was happiest when he was with them. He lived a quiet life, found joy in the simple things, and will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle nature, and the love he shared with his family.
Survivors include his son, Cole Culverson and his wife, Leandra; his grandchildren, Adelee & Ivy; his mother, Phyllis Helms Reagan; his siblings, DeWayne & Bobbi Culverson, Michelle & Jeff Shirah, Dena & Paul Maxwell, and Laura & Chris Hall; his stepmother, Rose Culverson; and a host of extended family. Lee was preceded in death by his father, Leon DeWayne Culverson, Sr.
